After leaving Lincolnshire Little Will moved to Sheffield and later to the Manchester area where he and Polly remained, until their deaths in the 1950s. Peter Gaston, lived with Will and Polly and thus much of the content of this book is written from personal, first hand knowledge, rather than research. Peter then describes his own life in the army, including Malaysia.
