Shopper in search of delicious, local festive fodder will be able to find it all under one roof with the return of the Tastes of Lincolnshire Christmas Food and Drink Fair. Food makers from across the county are preparing for the event, which they say offers a chance to promote the diverse range of produce Lincolnshire has to offer.
Peter Wesley, a partner in Fen Farm Venison, near Sleaford, said his firm would be going as in previous years the event had been attended by a lot of their regular customers. "It's a great showcase for local produce and it shows the diversity of produce available from Lincolnshire."
Philip Robinson, the cattle farmer co-owner of Bassingthorpe Beef, near Grantham, which is one of four producers that have been attending Lincoln Farmers' Market for more than 10 years, said they had attended seven or eight previous Christmas food and drink fairs and they were "great events".
As well as more than 100 stalls, carrying favourite foods like Cote Hill and Lincolnshire Poacher cheese, the two-day event on November 27 and 28 will see craft demonstrations including wreath making, handmade Christmas decorations, a turkey carving masterclass and chocolate demonstrations.
There will also be a variety of Christmas-inspired cookery demonstrations in the main cookery theatre.
