Stranger Bwoy

Ralph Ottey Ralph Ottey

Part two of Ralph Ottey’s charming autobiographical trilogy.  In his homely, down-to-earth and humorous style, the story covers the time he spent in England serving in the RAF.  After his ‘demob’and a brief return to his native Jamaica, he decided to come ‘home’ and settle here in Boston, Lincolnshire, and marry his sweetheart Mavis.

It is an extremely moving book and testament to Ralph’s own tolerance in the face of severe racial intolerance, but he also experienced genuine friendship whilst in the county.

This book is self-published by Ralph Ottey and is not strictly a paperback as it has a ringbound cover having been printed by the local Business Centre rather than a traditional printer.
