This book is an account of the fortunes and misfortunes of the 4th Battalion which was formed from a company in Boston in the South East of the area and Lincoln in the West and North, with units in Horncastle, Spilsby and Alford.
Here, John Benson traces their fortunes from their initial deployment to Norway followed by Iceland and, in 1944, to landings in Normandy immediately after D-Day and their progress through France, Belgium, Holland and Germany.
