This is the story of the development of golf in Woodhall Spa and its Golf Club over the past century or so.RRP £7.50 now just £6.50
Over the years there have been changes in the course, each regarded as improvements on what was already a magnificent course. Informed and authoritative golfing journals have ranked it as amongst the top courses in the world and since 1995 it became the head quarters of The English Golf Union.
How the courses (both the Hotchkin and recent Bracken course) have developed is recounted here and due acknowledgement accorded to the Hotchkin family, on whose ground the first 18-hole course was laid out and whose generous help and support has sustained the course and club throughout the 20th century.
