3rd Gilbertine Lecture

The 3rd Gilbertine Lecture goes ahead BUT a revised date and venue is now in place.
We hope you will be interested to learn that Dr. Janet Sorrentino will be with us for the weekend of the 12th & 13th of March 2011.
She will be giving her lecture
Poems and Pedagogy:
‘The Order of Sempringham and the Medieval Educational Milieu’.
at Toller Court Rooms, Sandygate Lane, Horbling at 2pm on the Sunday and we hope you can join with us.
The timing is set so that you will still be able to enjoy a roast dinner at The Old Ship in Pointon or the Plough in Horbling should you wish ( booking advisable).
The hire of this venue will enable us to gather both Saturday afternoon and Sunday from 10am until the lecture to enable us to learn from each as much as possible about different Gilbertine sites and what is going on today.
